Von der Talstation in Grän erst ein Stück der Piste entlang, diese wird am oberen Ende des Schlepplifts links verlassen. Die Tour führt auf einem Wirtschaftsweg entlang des Wanderweges (Beschilderung vorhanden) hinauf zur Gessewangalpe. Dort immer weiter bergauf der Beschilderung zur Sonnenalm folgen.
