Gegenüber des bekannten Skigebietes von Bad Hindelang-Oberjoch befindet sich das kleinere und weniger bekannte Skigebiet von Unterjoch an den Spieserliften. Hier findet sich ein Kontrast zum Trubel im Oberjoch und trotzdem gute steile Pisten. Oberhalb der Bergstation beginnt ein kleines Tal, das abgeschieden und absolut ruhig den Zugang zu der kleinen Gebirgsgruppe mit Jochschrofen, Hirschberg und Spieser bildet. Die Berge sind allesamt perfekte Skitourenberge, die in allgäutypischer Weise bis zum Gipfel von Alpweideflächen durchzogen sind. Der Aufstieg kann wahlweise mit Hilfe des Schleppliftes um knapp 300 Höhenmeter verkürzt werden.
