Jungholz's local mountain is perfect for starting a worthwhile mountain tour. On the way up you can already enjoy the view of nature and the surrounding area. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view into the distance. Sometimes there are running boards and steep climbs to be mastered. The tour is only recommended for sure-footed and experienced hikers and mountaineers.

Turn-by-turn directions

We walk from the parking lot to the right up the road over a wooded hiking trail towards Langenschwand, always following the signs. Once at the top we turn towards Sorgschrofen. Over hills, meadows and forests we get towards Alpe Älpele, but before that we turn towards Sorgschrofen and towards the mountain station of the ski lifts. Turn right here, via a prepared but difficult path. First we pass a transmitter mast, there we go up to the right. Now we reach the very steep ascent to the summit. We walk higher and higher over rocks and steps / running boards. For a few meters, a wire rope helps us to cross the rock steps as a safety device. Once at the top we can already see the summit of the Sorgschrofen. Now briefly down and back up to the summit cross.Once at the top, we look down with a fantastic view of the Allgü Alps. Descent on the same route to the two Sorgschrofen tow lifts. At the Sorgschrofen lifts, we walk straight down the actual ski slope towards the town center. Once at the bottom and after a more strenuous tour, we walk up a small hill towards Schrofenhütte to stop off.
