There are magnificent views on the circular trail - and yet the tour is suitable for everyone, because the lush green meadows and pastures over which our path leads are mostly only moderately steep. The start of our tour is in Jungholz and we arrive at our first destination, the Schnitzlertal Alpe, in about 2.5 hours. In several rustic alps along the way, such as the Vordere Sorg Alpe or the Buchel Hütte, we can stop for refreshments at any time. A spectacular panoramic view of the Allgäu Alpine landscape awaits us at several waypoints on the tour. On the way back, we pass through the small community of Unterjoch. There we can still enjoy rustic and genuine Allgäu culture. The finish point after a good 5-hour tour is again the Jungholz car parking lot in the village centre.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the starting point, we walk south along a short ashpalt path/road until after about 300 metres we turn left onto a forest path with an asphalt road. From there we reach the Vordere Sorg Alpe until the short crossing of the B310. Immediately afterwards, we follow the path to the Roß Alpe. From there we follow the continuing hiking trail until we reach the Schnitzlertal Alpe. From there we make our way back in the direction of Edelsberg to the Buchel Alpe. From there we walk towards Unterjoch (short crossing of the B310). Once in Unterjoch, we walk through the small community in the direction of Vorderer Sorg Alpe. Continuing on, we reach the path in the direction of Jungholz village centre and find ourselves back at the starting point and the simultaneous end of the tour.
