Turn-by-turn directions

The starting point is the church in Jungholz, then directly along the Schnitzerweg to the district of Langenschwand. A short descent follows to the Scheidbachalpe in the Vilstal. Continue on a signposted gravel path, past the Kalbelehof-Alpe and over a short but steeper ascent to the Hotel Rehbach. From there you walk along the Rehbach-Weg and turn right. Continue over a meadow saddle to the district of Steineberg and down to the center of Unterjoch. Turn right in Unterjoch and pass Sorg Alpe 1. Continue through the Jungholzer forest for around 20 minutes until you reach the starting point, the Jungholz church.

Public transport

Public-transport-friendly

The bus line operator "Komm Mit" drives to Jungholz from several sides and locations every day. The Jungholz bus stop is around 150 meters from the starting point

By road

Variant 1: Exit A 7 Oy-Mittelberg, on the B310 in the direction of Wertach, take the Jungholz exit on the left. Very good signage

Variant 2: Accessible via the B310 Oberjoch-Unterjoch - Pfeiffermuehle exit

Parking

The Jungholz ski lift car park is free all year round. The capacity is around 300 vehicles. Parking is around 50 meters from the starting point (church).

Sehr schöne Wanderung, um den Jungholzer Hausberg, der von allen Seiten schöne An- und Ausblicke bietet. Bis auf wenige Abschnitte ist der Weg sehr ruhig. Macht einfach Freude.

Im August 2020 bin ich die Tour mit kleinen Varianten gegangen. Sie führt durch eine schöne Landschaft. Schwer ist an dieser Tour nichts. Sie ist als leicht einzustufen. Allenfalls kleine Stellen, z.B. der steile Aufstieg zum Hotel Rehberg, kratzen mal so an der mittleren Schwierigkeit. Deshalb war es für uns ältere Semester eine gute Einstiegstour bei etwas unsicherem Wetter. Als Start in Jungholz ist wohl der Schnitzerweg etwas schöner als die Straße.

Wunderschöne Tour und für alle empfehlenswert, die etwas in dieser Umgebung erleben wollen. Jungholz und die angrenzenden Gemeinden sind etwas besonderes für mich!!! Einfach tolle Landschaft
