A wonderful short and easy bike tour with a great view of nature, the local mountain and the Allgäu Alps, starting from the free and spacious car park in the center of Jungholz. You can expect insights into the culture, tradition and nature of the small village of Jungholz. A small round tour through Jungholz that makes every heart beat faster. The whole village can be seen over the high path in Jungholz.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the starting point (church) we drive past the ski lifts in Jungholz, always following the street. After around 800 meters, we turn right onto the signposted hiking trail in Jungholz. Here we continue towards the Jungholz swimming pool. Landing back on the road, we drive past the Jungholz municipal office towards the town center and turn left at the next intersection towards Gießenschwand. Here we drive on the Höhenweg. Past the snow-making pond (vantage point with a wide view of the mountain landscape) we continue on the advertised path towards the Langenschand district. Passing the Hotel Waldhorn we cross the street and continue straight ahead. After 300 meters we turn left onto the signposted path back towards the village center. After another 300 meters we switch back to the main road street and drive directly to the ending point (church).

Public transport

Public-transport-friendly

Reachable by bus on the Komm Mit line. The bus leaves four times a day at the Jungholz community stop. About 100 meters from the starting point. Tariffs are available from the bus company "Komm mit".

By road

Option 1: Exit A 7 Oy-Mittelberg, on B310 towards Wertach, take the Jungholz exit on the left. Very good signage

 

Option 2: Accessible via the B310 Oberjoch- Unterjoch - Pfeiffermühle exit

Parking

Free parking (right by the Jungholz ski lifts and the church) in the middle of Jungholz t village center. Capacity is around 200 vehicles
